Vera will host the 2022 Beach Tennis Championship in Spain

La 20ª edición del Campeonato de España MAPFRE de Tenis Playa 2022 se celebrará en las pistas del Índalo Beach Tennis Club de Vera, en Almería, del 28 de abril al 1 de mayo.

The 20th edition of the MAPFRE Spanish Beach Tennis Championship 2022 will be held on the courts of the Índalo Beach Tennis Club in Vera, in Almería, from April 28 to May 1.

The competition will be expanded with two new veteran titles. In total, 14 titles will be fought.

La competición se ampliará con dos nuevos títulos veteranos. En total se pelearán 14 títulos.

The courts are about 15 miutes by car from Finca Arboleda.
Our one bedroom apartment is available for 50 euros a night if you are coming to play or watch the competition.

Los juzgados se encuentran a unos 15 minutos en coche desde Finca Arboleda.
Nuestro apartamento de un dormitorio está disponible por 50 euros la noche si vienes a jugar o ver la competición.

The Giant Geode of Pulpí.

The Giant Geode of Pulpí was declared this Tuesday to be a Natural Monument of Andalusia. Located in the Mina Rica, in the eastern sector of the Betic Cordillera and at the foot of the Sierra del Aguilón, it is a giant geode, about eight meters long by two meters high it is covered with enormous gypsum crystals and makes it a unique geological wonder. Its transparency and state of conservation make it a jewel of nature. In fact, it is considered the largest geode in the world.

The crystal cave is a major attraction in the Pilar de Jaravía area due to its size and the transparency of the rocks.
It is located 50 meters beneath Mina Rica, a silver mine that closed in the 1960s.
La Sierra del Aguilón has been a mining area all throughout history. Contemporary mining begins in 1840 with the use of trenches and silver galena cuts. After 1870, iron extraction starts taking place. Although it seemed as if Mina Rica was forgotten, in 1999 it regains  popularity thanks to the discovery of the largest mineral geode in Europe. 20 years later, Mina Rica’s reopening project allows everyone to appreciate the wonderful heritage Pulpí’s miners left us with.

If you live here, are on holiday or staying with friends in Andalucia this is the perfect time to discover Almeria.

Finca Arboleda is the perfect retreat for you. Set in 5000 square metres of mature gardens in the countryside but only 5 minutes  to Vera town and 10 mins to the coast.

Plenty of room around the pool at Finca Arboleda.

We live here but the one bedroom apartment and the two bedroom villa are well equipped and totally self contained. Both have heating, air con, TV and their own internet connection.

We normally accept one dog per stay, please ask first, we are fully fenced.

Covid 19 and Finca Arboleda

We have had various visitors staying at Finca Arboleda during the pandemic. They all agree that they feel safe here.

We have assigned four sunbeds for use of the Villa and two for the Apartment around the swimming pool and apart from this both accommodations have their own seating and bbq areas. We are leaving a gap between departures and arrivals to give us time to ensure that cleaning is even more thorough than usual.

We have also implemented the following guarantee.Covid 19: If travel is impossible on your reserved dates, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, then you can either change your date of travel and use the money you have paid towards new dates or receive a full refund of the money you have paid.
