Seasons Greetings

We wish past and future guests a merry Christmas. It was a quieter than usual 2010 for us mainly due to a very quiet Spring caused by a number of well documented reasons. In spite of this we have managed a number of improvements in the accommodation as well as our own house, at last!

Next year is kicking off pretty well with over 20 weeks booked already. Looking at the weather from northern Europe and indeed the Costa del Sol, which has flooding again, makes us appreciate the the dry, mild climate we enjoy here.

We normally take it pretty easy over the festive season, a few drinks, nice food and good company are the usual for us. The highlights will be answering your enquiries!

Sun, Sun, Sun.

Isn’t the weather crazy. We often get asked what weather people can expect if they book such and such a date. Who knows?

temperatures ABOVE 25º. We’ve attacked the Figs to try and beat the leaves ending up in the pool and the big false pepper tree in front of the apartment has had a bit of a makeover and is looking fantastic!

Rain, Rain, Rain!

Great day here yesterday, it rained all day. Got up around 4:30 and watched the end of the Cricket. Did a couple of hours work on the day job. Looked at all the snowy pictures on Facebook. Watched SIX episodes of Mad Men and the El Clasico, Barca v R. Madrid game where my 2 favourite Portuguese men* lost 5-0. Perfect!

Today? is that rain coming or will I have to clear up LOADS of Fig leaves?

Easter through to May looks like a good time to enjoy some Spring sunshine here. A 10 night stay will only need 3 days off work with the extra Bank Holiday on April 29th.

Olives 2010

Last week was Olive harvest. Dry, warm and windy. We picked over 500 kilos which yielded 130 litres of Extra Virgin Oil a very high amount and our best ever in terms of %.

There are some photos on the facebook page. Now we have builders here for a week changing a few windows in our house and the apartment. Still nice and warm here.

November offer

Property for sale.

They were going to prizes in the “winitliveit” raffle but this has been closed down and all money refunded.

Warning over holiday villa online booking scams

BBC news ran this article yesterday warning people to be careful when booking a property online. It is good advice and the industry really needs some regulation to give holiday renters some confidence that the holiday apartment or villa they desire is genuine.

What do we do at our end to assure you that we are genuine?

We started renting out in 2004 and this ad on Owners direct supports this, scroll to the bottom and read..

“This advertiser joined Owners Direct in June 2004,
and has advertised this property with us since November 2004.”  and on Spain holiday since Jan 2008.

Our online guest book has 75 entries starting from February 2006  when we launched the web site, we can also be found on google and trip advisor.

We have been verified and accredited on “Your Holiday Matters” which is linked from our web site home page.

If your still not sure please give us a call and check that we are real people, the phone number is on all the ads.

Book with confidence, you’ll be glad you did.
