We were listening to Chris Evans on the radio last week talking about the virtues of using Olive Oil. They had a bottle in the studio which had come from Italy and cost 21 GBP.

21 QUID!!!!  apparently it was special because it came from a small estate where the producer knew the names of the pickers.

I can tell you what our pickers had for lunch and our excellent Extra Virgin Oil only costs 4GBP a bottle. Our Spanish neighbours have said it’s the best they’ve ever tasted.

Our 6 oldest Chickens are nearly 3 years old and very rarely lay eggs now. This has become a problem as the 3 white ones are trying to supply Guests, neighbours and ourselves with eggs, so today we have bought 6 new ones. It will be a couple of weeks before they are laying.

We have made a retirement area for the old girls, Coq au Vin?  that was a joke, but who knows in the winter!

We love them too much to kill them and they rewarded us with 2 eggs today!

Sorry the blog stalled, it was due to excessive spam being sent to it, I’ll try again now it’s stopped.

We’re pretty much booked for the summer and have had to disappoint a lot of people so if you want to visit us we can take bookings for next year. We’ve painted the place from top to bottom and at the moment we are improving the garden next to the road to the Stables. We’ve already had some lovely guests this summer and we always feel sad when they leave and hope they will come and stay again, you can read their comments on the guest book! I’ve bought a new camera and will try and take some better pictures for the web site so keep looking and send your comments.
